There is a big difference between Guru Puja and Guru Dakshina . Not all devotees can give Guru Dakshina . In Bharat culture , Guru Puja is often performed at the Guru Ashram . After all the teaching of discipleship at the Guru Ashram, he give the Guru Dakshina and left the Ashram . Sri Krishna and Ramachandra are both incarnations of 2 Yug . Guru, the disciples at the ashram were educated and gave the Dakshina to the Guru . That connection is written in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata . Only the one who continues to obey the Guru's orders in his life is suitable to give Guru Dakshina . The Guru does not need the dakhina . He needs dakhina after he takes the test .

Sai Baba had no distinction of Rich and Poor at all if anyone thought he was of a Rich , Baba was breaking his ego . From dakshina baba time to time , used to give bhajan to the poor .
Sai himself went to the market to prepare all the ingredients for the Bhajan . Baba himself was engaged to make bhajan . Tatya was helping Sai Baba in the making of bhajan The process of giving bhajan to the poor continued until the body of Baba was released .
