                                 SAIBABA used to beg for alms only from five selective houses . The first one was Baija mother's house . He accepted only onion , bread of jawar , chutni , kalvan and pithla .All other offering he rejected . He did not stay or wait for long  before any of the houses . Neither did he talk except with Baijabai whom he called ' My Mami '. Even when offerings of food came in plenty in later years , Baba ways never changed . He subsisted on the begged food alone . He placed the BHIKSHA (alms ) in the open to allow birds and dogs to eat a portion ; whatever was left he consumed . 

         Only SAI could do this great and exemplary act . Baba used to call men with love with such epithets as Dada , Bhau , Kaka , Mama , etc . When he called ' Mami , bhakar ghal ,' Baijabai used to come quickly with her motherly affection to render the service . Many times , she called him inside and offered him milk . Baba sometimes accepted her motherly offering . He never allowed anyone else to be familiar with him . 

        She often asked him about his parents ,his original birthplace and other details . He replied that he had his own house , parents , but they were far off . The relationship of a renounced saint with such a faithful mother was indeed divine and unique .
