SAI's ARATI IS A TOOL FOR CURE
In 1956 the only son of a widowed lady teacher of Sholapur who appeared for the matriculation examination come home on the last day of the examination with high fever . The fever abated after medical treatment , but the lower part of the body below the waist was paralysed . He could not walk and had to be carried . The plight of the mother can easily be imagined .
On hearing about the Shrine of Sai baba , the window mother took her son to Shirdi . She used to leave the paralysed boy in the lodging and go alone to the Samadhi Mandir to pour out her grief before Sai baba and pray for redress . Feeling ashamed of being carried , the boy didn't accompany his mother to Baba's Samadhi place . In the third and last day of their schedule stay at Shirdi , While the mother had gone to the Samadhi Mandir for the arati , the boy left in the lodging got darshan of Sai baba , who bucked him up , taking his hand led him to the Samadhi Mandir and made him stand leaving against the support of a column .
After the arati was over , his mother prayed fervently to Sai baba to cure her son and was about to leave the Samadhi Mandir . She was astonished to see her son standing propped against a column . She asked him how he had managed to get there . She could scarcely believe when the boy narrated what had happened . She was naturally overjoyed . Within a month of this incident the boy was restored to health .
