            The practice of granting UDI as a symbol of grace continued in Shirdi right from 1870 , when Baba gradually adjusted to the masjid life . Baba used Udi as medicine or Allah's blessing to his devotees . UDI was indicative of the end of life in ashes . It also symbolized the eternal life of the soul , which rises over the mundane limits and shackles . The UDI was the bond of protection at the hands of Sai Krishna who was the Lord of Geeta and Bhagwat .It joined the heart of an innocent destitute devotee towards the glory as well as succour from Baba .
          THE UDI IS THE MAGIC OF THE MASJID !
       IT IS THE ALCHEMY OF ALLAH THE MASTER !
      IT IS THE DIVINITY AND COMPASSION OF FAKIR !
