T.R.S.Mani Iyer of Kumbhakornam in Tamilnadu had a daughter Rajalakshmi who was dumb since birth . The anxiety of the girl's parents can easily be imagined . All other efforts to bring a cure having failed . Mani iyer commenced the worship of Sri Saibaba's portrait with great devotion . The daughter too used to stand with folded hands before Baba's portrait , maturely craving for Baba's grace . Once Baba appeared in Mani Iyar dream and instructed him to take his dumb daughter to Shirdi to pray at Baba's samadhi .
                  Accordingly Mani Iyer took his daughter to Shirdi on 28.3.42 . As soon as the daughter saw Sai Baba's life - size portrait in the samadhi Mandir resplendent in glory and grace , she at the instance of Das Ganu Maharaj slowly but clearly uttered in amazement ,  "SAIBABA ! ." In a short while she started speaking quite fluently .
